THE FORRESTER CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of The Forrester Center for Behavioral Health is to improve the lives of Spartanburg County community members through Person-Centered, Substance Use Disorder treatment, Non-Substance Behavioral Health therapy, and Prevention and Education Services.

VISION AND DIRECTION STATEMENT

To deliver a complete range of person centered, needs-based, quality services in an efficient manner to the citizens and residents of Spartanburg County. The Forrester Center is forward thinking and utilizes evidenced based practices to provide the most effective treatment that enhances the experience of persons served and optimizes successful outcomes. As the needs of the community shift, grow, and change, it is The Forrester Center’s responsibility to anticipate and develop strategies designed to meet the challenges of our community and the people we serve.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

The Forrester Center believes that Substance Use and Behavioral Health Disorders, are treatable and that recovery is the desired outcome, with abstinence as the goal. We believe that treatment should be tailored to the needs and goals set by the individual (person centered), fostering a true person-centered approach to treatment, and ensure our programs and service provide the greatest value to the people we serve.

VALUES STATEMENT

The Forrester Center for Behavioral Health values positive, person centered approaches when working with those we serve. We value utilizing evidenced based treatment approaches that maximize positive outcomes and focus on each individual’s goals. Additionally, these concepts are incorporated into policy, code of ethics, licensure and credentialing boards and demonstrated in our use of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care in addition to appropriate and sanctioned therapeutic techniques.

Nationally credentialed through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the SC Department of Health, we strive to provide evidence-based therapy that reflects the most cutting-edge research. Our clinicians are certified through the SC Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, SC Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates, and many hold advanced licensure or national certifications.
